Arts Weekly | April 28-May 3

These days it can be hard to find glimmers of hope or even good news, especially when it comes to the arts industry. But there was one article that put things into a little perspective this week and made us remember other times when humanity was at peril and the status quo was questioned. In this ARTnews article that considers whether art is just a luxury, Jody Patterson looks at the history of the Works Progress Administration Federal Art Project. Then president "Roosevelt insisted that support for democracy and for the arts are one and the same. By encouraging the creation and enjoyment of artistic culture, democracy itself was strengthened."

We'll have more virtual events coming up soon and are excited to announce a new great collaboration. We'll share more with you soon and until then are sharing plenty to read/watch/listen and apply to.
